1407445 2015-08-26 20:18:00 I am looking for help/guidance to set up a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND (v2) router running Gargoyle firmware upgrade please.

I recently purchased a Yealink IP Phone, sorted out an account with VOIP provider, and tried to connect the primary number while our landline number is ported.
For some reason it's a no-go, and I just want to check I have QOS set up correctly.

I have QOS enabled on upload and download, and have changed to "VOIP" on both. Other than that, I have not changed anything in those screens.
The phone is set to DHCP (which is what the network uses) and sees the network fine

I might be missing something completely obvious here...

1407447 2015-08-26 22:08:00 QoS is irrelevant at this point to be honest mate. QoS will shape and prioritize your traffic reserving bandwidth just for Voice, however at this stage if you're not getting connected you're jumping well ahead of yourself ;)

First things first: Is the Yealink phone registering?

A few things will help here:
1) What's your DSL modem?
2) Can you turn off SIP ALG on said modem?
3) Who's the provider? 2talk?
4) What model Yealink phone have you got?

We'll go from there.

OK...

1, DrayTek Vigor DV130 ADSL/VDSL Modem
2, I assume so. I guess I will have to plug into the modem direct to access the web interface? (instead of plugging into the TP-Link)
3, 2talk
4, Yealink W52P

Regards your question on the phone registering, I will have to double check this when I get home

Sorry, I thought QOS had to be enabled to make the phone connect...

1407450 2015-08-27 04:25:00 No, QOS is just about what gets priority on a busy connection. It's to make sure the phone has a dedicated 64k or what ever you need, even if you're trying to stream 4-5 HD video streams on an ADSL connection. Alex B (15479)
1407451 2015-08-27 06:22:00 Accessed Draytek via direct connection. Used telnet to access and check if SIP ALG was enabled. It is disabled already

Handset is definitely registered to base. Still no matched line

It sounds like you haven't setup the Yealink base itself, to your voip account, and/or assigned that account/line to the handset.

And have you updated to the latest firmware for the Yealink?

I will look this up in google as you might be right. Able to guide me to where I should be looking?
