1398741 2015-04-19 02:55:00 The Android Device Manager has been available for years now, this is just a convenient shortcut for people :-) Chilling_Silence (9)
1398742 2015-04-19 05:47:00 Whn my phone rang, a message and web page had details about using Device manager, which I did not know it existed. Or forgot about. kahawai chaser (3545)
1398743 2015-04-21 21:31:00 I have a Sony Xperia Z2

I used Sony's "locate my phone". It's off by about 400 meters

The sound alert worked.

Google maps is showing my correct position

Maybe it's getting fooled by the local WiFi spots.

1398744 2015-04-21 23:23:00 On second thought, the "off by 400 meters" probably means my phone is only using the cell phone tower for location, not GPS or WiFi hotspots.

I was inside an office building.

1398745 2015-04-22 01:01:00 My S3 mini is on the desk next to me at home yet Google can't find it weird. gary67 (56)
1398746 2015-04-22 02:45:00 You can disable the service on the phone that lets you find it so this only works if it's on. It can't find my nexus 7 because I disabled all non-essential services to improve performance but it is very accurate finding my phone. dugimodo (138)
