1398701 2015-04-16 10:45:00 Um how come none of my aspirations came true compared to this guy (en.wikipedia.org)? His list of honours make me feel, urm, a little underwhelmed!

I mean really, the only honour I've been credited with was being called Sir when I gave the waitress a modest tip at the restaurant. :(

You sound like Neil the hippy from the "Young ones" :banana

Go and cook up some lentils or make some tea. That will make you feel better :) www.google.co.nz

Not sure that the word "achieved" is right.

Bang-on Blanco, he has 'achieve' very little, if anything.

He was born into wealth and power, it was his 'entitlement by birth' to hold his various positions, and merit had absolutely nothing to do with it.

He could have been a snivelling cretin and still be rolled out on ceremonial occasions to wave a glove at his subjects.

I think it was Dutch Royalty who cycled around their Kingdom, but remained in touch with the common man, they earned their respect.

He may be good at managing his unearned privileges, I wouldn't know, but hereditary power, rights, and privileges do nothing to enhance the man.

It will be his deeds by which he will be judged.

Cheers

Surely in your case, credit where credit is due!
