It may resemble it....

Could load DOS onto some old machine and play with it...but why?

A word of WARNING -- and I'm really serious, :stare::stare: be VERY Careful what you do. In Command prompts there are NO "are you sure" you want to do tasks, Eg: delete something. If you give a command to delete something its gone.

Command Prompts are very powerful, there is also another command prompt many don't know about, its called Power Shell -- Think of it as the big boss administrator of commands.

Also with command prompts you only need a . or space or forget to put in / or " and the command wont work.

One command you want to stay away from is Diskpart - Do something wrong in that and you'll be sorry

I could give you a set of commands but "if" you did them, I dont think I'd be to popular LOL :D ( I can post them if you want but take NO responsibility as to what will happen)

If you were to boot from a DVD Win8/8.1 or a WinPE you can do even more.

Heres a simple test -- What do you think this command would do ? Edited: have to post a picture, as it brings up smiles in the command when posted.

Note:Linux still does a lot of command prompt work, thats one reason its not so popular in general home uses, its scary to some.

1398373 2015-04-11 02:41:00 Can anyone also tell me is there any command to show up how many wireless devices are connected to the router AppleFan (17097)
1398374 2015-04-11 02:50:00 In Command prompts there are NO "are you sure" you want to do tasks,

Yeah it was great ay.....it just sat there doing nothing until you fed it a command then it would do it and go back to doing nothing.
None of this phone home, nag prompts, interfering stuff like today.

At tech, teacher allowed me to teach the class a few shortcuts he didn't know - like deltree.
We could use them in the test so long as used correctly.

Classmate did deltree F: instead of deltree F:/folder

Lucky it was a server drive and it didn't let her, crashed her PC instead.
