| 1398255 | 2015-04-09 05:58:00 | I ordered a battery from this firm, but have not received an acknowledgement of my order. I have emailed them twice without any response from the firm - and yes, they have been paid. They give a NZ post box address in Christchurch, and several email addresses, but no phone numbers or street address. Has anyone dealt with them? |

Can't say service or time is strong, but the items didn't seem refurbished and appeared fairly new but time was more important for me than all those things so stopped dealing with them. Cheers, KK |

I did this recently. |

| 1398258 | 2015-04-09 10:30:00 | Thanks guys. Someone from the firm finally contacted me this afternoon, wanting confirmation of my address and a phone number. He claimed that the battery had been sent, but had been returned to them. They did have the correct address, so I can't see how that would have happened. However, there is a similar address to ours (in Kaitaia rather than our town in Nth Canty), and I guess it is possible that someone in their dispatch department sent it to the wrong town. I have replied and await developments. | John H (8) | ||
| 1398259 | 2015-04-20 05:42:00 | Thought I would update you folks. The battery arrived after a long delay. First, there was no acknowledgement of the offer, nor of my first emails trying to find out what was going on with the order. Eventually I got an email from the firm saying the battery had been sent to the wrong address and had been returned to them. That was clearly a porkie because I now know that the battery was dispatched from Singapore, and there wasn't time for that to have occurred. I had to confirm my address even though it was clearly stated and accurate in the original order, which they copied to me. By the time they eventually dispatched the battery, we were away from home, so the parcel languished at the Post Office until we returned. So, their price for the order was half that of their equivalent NZ supplier, but the hassle was ridiculous. Over to you which you prefer if you are in the market for a battery - a cheap price, lengthy delay, and lousy communication; or a higher price and better delivery standards. I have had another recent bad experience with another company that tries to pretend it is a NZ company - Expansys. I am really over these guys who are NZ companies in name only - they are just a front for an overseas supplier who does not communicate effectively, and who has to source their goods from overseas, leading to delayed delivery. From now on, I will spend more and get a better service (e.g. I have now paid about $50 more to PB Tech for the Nexus 9 that Expansys failed to deliver, and I think it is worth it). |

I wouldn't say that PB Tech are that great either. They'll sell you stuff sure, but if you need a return, you'll be in for a lot of fun. |

Son went to get a mobile phone from them just before Xmas, it was slightly cheaper than everywhere else. He ordered it through my business account, ( with PB) then got a email saying it wasn't new (as advertised) but either a returned or "open Box". Got on the phone and after a bit of ummmmm errrrrrr from them, theres new stock coming in two - four weeks, I demanded the money be refunded. The only reason it was done within 2 days as I was told was since its going through a business account its different to general consumer purchase and was done quicker. |
