1398265 2015-04-20 10:04:00 Crikey, it seems I am not alone in having problems with the online merchants. Good luck Cicero - hope it isn't a cheap Rolex...

I regretted going to the Batteryer people in retrospect. Will have to do more research in future.

As far as PB Tech is concerned, the communication has been good. I will confirm if everything arrives OK (and whether it appears to be new...).

1398266 2015-04-20 10:26:00 No J but you were close,it's a Cartier Tank. A Classic with leather strap.

You may have google it.

Much finger crossing needed with these foreign cads.

Quite right, dodgy lot these foreigners. You should have insisted on a locally made Catrier watch, there's a bloke in one of the Levin pubs sells them most reasonably priced.

Should have thought of that.

I hope all is well with you J.

1398272 2015-04-22 00:39:00 (snip) I hope all is well with you J.

All is well with me, thank goodness, but unfortunately I seem to be mislaying friends all over the place. Buggers keep popping their clogs or getting nasty diagnoses. As someone said, getting old is not for sissies.

Hope all is well in your new(ish) surroundings. Hope the Raumati - Pekapeka bypass isn't being too much of a pain?

1398273 2015-04-22 02:10:00 New rd works no prob, takes forever, a bit like the bridge at Redcliffe area.

I am at an age where all old chums are close to popping clogs. So you are not alone.
