1407963 2015-09-04 16:40:00 With the Win 10 having Edge browser, I cant seem to select "Search Google" from the context menu when right clicking on a highlighted text.

I added Google as the default search engine in Edge but cant seem to see any option to allow searching off of a highlighted text.
Does anyone know how to make this happen.

Its a real pain for me!! I know i can use Firefox or Chrome but I wanted to know if I can make it happen in Edge

Cheers

1407964 2015-09-04 22:18:00 Been looking for that as well, its used quite often - Its a "feature"-- A useless browser that doesn't do what any good browser should. ( wait for the excuses - Its not finished yet :p )

Many other forums all say the same thing "Right click search will not work without Cortana" And since Cortana is not available in most of the world then its useless.
Either open the pages in IE, which does work as it should, or use some other real browser. ;)

1407965 2015-09-04 22:47:00 Just adding to above - Another Microsoft forum same question. microsoft-edge/suggestions -select-text-right-click-search-on-default-s (windows.uservoice.com) Its quite funny, Microsoft want everyone to use their programs but disable some of the most used features ..

Edited: Just found a interesting article. Explains why edge is so featureless: :D

It’s designed for dummies

That’s not meant as an insult, it’s just that anything remotely confusing about a browser has been removed and hidden away to make it a clutter-free and non-confusing browsing experience.
