As I add to the C: folder, can I automatically also copy the update to D:? If so, how do I do that? Is the D: an internal or external USB drive. Copying to another internal drive is not security, allways copy to an external HD, & unplug it when not in use. You will need a syncing program , then set it to sync every day, or every few hours. Im sure there are better programs, but these are 2 Ive used www.2brightsparks.com or cobian backup |

You can use notepad and save it as a backup.bat file or similar. I could give better instructions from home but don't have it handy right now. Something like Robocopy C:\UserFolder D:\FolderBackup /MIR would get you started. I had to add switches to skip system files and some other things but that might be enough in your case. To schedule it, hit start, type schedule, click the task scheduler result, click the option to create a simple task, easy enough to figure out from there. |
