1483190 2021-12-29 18:12:00 I am a cricket lover. Silly game, but.......

I do find it quite sad how when the Aussies play, and give some country a real whipping like they have just done to the Poms, I don't marvel about how good they are, but what method they used to cheat.

Very sad to think this way, but that's the reputation they have created for themselves.

Ken :(

I think you will find that the cheating days are over. The average Aussie cricket lover was horrified by what had happened. And you will notice too that the nasty sledges have stopped. People hated being thought of as "the ugly Australians' as represented by their cricketers.

I think you are probably right. However their attitude has been for many years, quite a stain on world cricket and they will have to earn respect from the rest of the cricket playing countries. Not just expect it!

1483194 2022-01-06 01:03:00 Boring game.

Played a few sports in my day and cricket was one, alright being a bowler and a highest score 99 not out, was my best effort.

Liked golf to, pretty good here too.

Everyone to their own liking tho.

Good to see the female gender into most male sport now, tooo!.

lurking.

1483195 2022-01-15 21:34:00 I personally find cricket a bit boring but thought the other day was a classic example of what sport originally was aimed at -exercise and good sportsmanship.
I was profoundly impressed that the Bangladesh cricketers formed a Guard of Honour for Ross Taylor when he came out to bat. This epitomised how sport can be a great positive influence in World relationships.

1483196 2022-01-16 03:05:00 The Rules of Cricket

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in.

Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out.

When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.

Sometimes you get men still in and not out.

When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in.

There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.

When both sides have been in and all the men have got out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!
