1482938	2021-12-16 21:43:00	I was reading about the technicians at Abbey Road separating The Beatles vocals from the background music to turn the original mono recordings into stereo. They taught the computer the sound of each Beatle and the sounds of George's guitar, etc and then re recorded them. I thought that was pretty clever. Here's a guide to separating out sounds from their background. If you are as keen as I am in sound editing as I am you will find this Interesting. 1482939	2021-12-16 22:39:00	They do that sort of thing on Air Crash investigation sometimes. From the recording of the cockpit recorder they can remove any noise, voices alarms etc and leave just the one they want, Eg: if they want only the sound of the engine(s), they can then find out how fast the engines were actually going at various times or making any abnormal noises. 1482940	2021-12-16 23:20:00	It was Peter Jacksons tech wizzards who separated out the conversions so we could here them in his film/doco They didnt have that sort of tech in the late 60's . :) Some of the early Beatles Stereo songs had music in one channel & vocals in the other. Its very weird , I guess Stereo was a new thing in the UK & being worked out back then . The original 4 track (2 track?) studio tapes would have had the vocals in a separate track, so the vocals could be re-recorded separately to get it perfect. In Peter Jacksons Film/doco , he separated out conversations from background noise & practice twangling so we could hear what they said The Beatles didnt allways want their private conversations audible for the film, as they made a comment regarding that . So, should we now be eavesdropping on what were private conversations ?	1101 (13337)
