2021-12-10 03:34:00 | Understand that there were delays with covid but this one kinda threw me for six. Ordered a sodastream machine from briscoes on the 10th of Nov- They picked it up from briscoes on the 12th and it just arrived today, 10th of Dec. Enquired with them four times over the past month where it was and they just kept saying covid delays, message us again in 5-8 days. Yesterday it finally arrived at their christchurch depot and then out of nowhere they marked it as dangerous goods to explain the delay. Called and asked why it was considered dangerous goods which was met with a hello hello can't hear you and hang up. Of course it's not the end of the world and don't want to sound like a moaning mary, just a caution for anyone else. Wouldn't use them again if I can help it. Fastway were never that great either, Courier Post are usually great. 11222

2021-12-10 06:36:00 | I just had a reply back today from a query regarding a missed pickup. This was placed a month ago, during which time I contacted the local agent and sorted it the next day. Yet they took 4 weeks to reply to a problem which needed immediate attention. Another parcel took 2 weeks to be attempted to deliver. Sure it was Auckland but it sat in the depot for about a week before they attempted delivery. But they are cheaper than NZPost and pickup parcels as well from my home... And NZPost have often had their issues.

2021-12-10 09:36:00 | Well I've always thought Fastway needed to change their name to Slowway. | Agent_24 (57) | |
2021-12-10 19:39:00 | Because: H280 Contains gas under pressure; may explode when heated. They are super busy this time of year...take a look how many parcels NZPost delivered last Nov/Dec. And then so far this year, it was in the news. Also it comes down to individual drivers, some good, some not so good. We had 2 bad ones, then they both quit, and this one is great. Hope he doesn't quit. It's a **** of a job....

2021-12-10 20:46:00 | All the Couriers are very busy, as Piroska points out some are better than others. One thing that's obvious though, with all the online orders getting more and more common and cant see it going down any time soon, the Courier companies, NZ post , everyone involved appear not to be up sizing the capacity to suit. They need more staff for more deliveries.

2021-12-11 18:25:00 | Well I've always thought Fastway needed to change their name to Slowway. They used to be very good and latest experiences are marginal. Courier-post has been great in contrast. A laptop from Auckland to rural South Island overnight, which took a week the other way.

2021-12-11 18:36:00 | Courier driver has to be a lousey job. It is hard work and for what is charged to deliver a package there cannot be much left in the drivers share after his expenses are covered. | CliveM (6007) | |
2021-12-11 19:00:00 | Was a courier in a previous life and Clive, you are quite right the margins are very tight. Not worth it in the long run. | Bryan (147) | |

A laptop from Auckland to rural South Island overnight, which took a week the other way. I've never had very good experiences with Fastway. Most of the time things have turned up, but: 1) Almost always slower than NZ Post/Courierpost (1-2 days slower) 2) Sometimes leaving signature required parcels worth hundreds of dollars in the letterbox or on the doorstep and signing for it themselves (Pre-Covid too so no excuses) 3) Absolutely useless at pick-ups booked through TradeMe. Sometimes taking days, in one instance I waited a week (calling every day) and ended up dropping the parcel off at their depot. After that, I'll certainly never use them again to send anything. |

2021-12-12 06:34:00 | With Fastway/Aramex, I've had one less than good experience, over a similar time frame NZPost/couriers have stretched up to be almost adequate three times. NZPost are more expensive too, so somehow it costs more to be badderer. ?? ?? ?? :clap | R2x1 (4628) | |
