| 1483161 | 2021-12-29 04:39:00 | He was quite an extraordinary bloke. Me, a confirmed Nat voter had a lot of time for him. His father was a good man too. A doctor in Otahuhu who did free for his patients like his son did free for those who had no money for legal stuff. Ken Word for word, those could have been my own observations exactly. |

But isn't it true how absolute power corrupts? Our current PM seems to have lost touch with the wider electorate too. |

I did admire piggy for a few things his military service especially as he was a Corporal and in his party were ex officers he was now in charge of. He helped a mate of mine personally who got stiffed by the IRS when he came back from 6 months in the MFO Sinai. He was single and had his own house so when he left for the Sinai he got a couple of air force mates to look after the house while he was away no rent but they paid the power phone rates. IRS said as he was renting the house out, the rehab mortgage from service in Singapore would go up and back pay the time he was away. My mate went to Dail Jones local MP who was as good as tits on a bull, well a long story short he got drunk and rung piggy telling him about it. Few days later the IRS backed off. He never got with the deregulation that was breaking out around the world and his luxury tax on yachts outboards etc was pretty cruel. On Luckens road a guy was building a yacht on an empty section and had a sign "cut the tax piggy" on it. | prefect (6291) | ||
