| 1482779 | 2021-12-11 21:03:00 | Waiting to see the final verdict on Omicron, as to whether or not a booster will definitely be required to keep infections as low as possible in each individual. As it stands though a booster is required before or around 6 months from date of second vaccination which means most people will need to get a booster shot by the end of March or a bit sooner. As I understand it, rushing in to get a booster shot may not be as efficacious as leaving it for a while to allow full immunity to develop before boosting. Also there is talk that a booster shot from a different manufacturer of the vaccine other than the one you had in the two earlier shots may give better results re increased immunity, this is not confirmed officially though. Apparently immunity decreases over time quite rapidly even after the first two shots and it is very likely that boosters will be required for the "at risk" sooner rather than later, ie the elderly, all or most of us on PressF1. |

BUT you have the option to edit your post up till 10 Minutes after posting, then its locked automatically and can only be edited by an Admin, or I "think" they can let you do it as well, but not 100% sure on that. |
