2021-08-27 22:11:00 | Thats actually good news for people whose computers dont meet the hardware requirements. (read older computers). What the article actually is saying is if you want to upgrade to Windows 11 you can do it manually. Its VERY simple solution: a restriction to install the OS will only be enforced when you try to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 through Windows Update. Meaning W11 wont be able to install Via updates if it doesn't meet the requirements. SO again simple solution if you dont want it and the computer does meet them, simply disable the Security on the motherboard or disable TPM ( most older boards have this disabled or not available) and it wont install. W11 runs very nice on older hardware and has some handy alterations that W10 doesn't.

2021-08-28 00:46:00 | will an older PC need to have UEFI or will Windows 11 load to a Legacy BIOS? I'd say yes, they're not going to lose thousands of customers with older PCs are they.

2021-08-28 04:26:00 | CPU is the only thing supposedly not compatible on both of our laptops so I should be able to manually do them when ready and it will all still work. Might just image our drives when the time comes just encase. | gary67 (56) | |
2021-08-28 05:47:00 | hoorah! looks like all of our (the nerd community) moaning worked. didn't help that so many people played it down like it wasn't a big deal (someone on here even referred to it as being a conspiracy theory) but glad that sense prevailed in the end.

2021-08-29 22:08:00 | clickbait . Just another site with more BS , FUD & misleading opening statements. If there is no link to an official MS statement , consider it to be a rumour . Many of these tech sites just parrot what other tech website said, rather than actually check facts. " systems that are upgraded this way may not be entitled to get Windows Updates, even security ones" "workaround is designed primarily for businesses to evaluate Windows 11" "Microsoft wont be officially supporting any Zen 1 CPUs"
