491128 2006-10-13 19:00:00 So, u unzipped the BIOS update, once u downloaded it?

Put it in a floppy (the floppy is bootable)

and u did download the command to flash the bios?

Or if the mobo supports ez flash, just copy the unzipped file to floppy rename to whatever its meant to be called chuck the floppy in reboot, and press Alt-F2 as soon as the system boots. (change the bootdisk to floppy first).

491130 2006-10-13 19:26:00 It doesnt do it automatically u need afudos / aflash or whatever command that mobo supports to flash the bios.

Is aflash (dlsvr01.asus.com) on that floppy as well?

This has to be unzipped first.

This is an ASUS mobo isnt it?

491132 2006-10-13 19:42:00 Reformat the floppy, make it a system disk, and copy aflash / the bios update back to it.

Then make the floppy the bootable disk and try again.

Is it a PS/2 keyboard? Some USB keyboards dont work properly sometimes.

491135 2006-10-13 19:53:00 if you mean the 6 pins and 1 big pin then it is PS\2 EEEBBR (11287)
491136 2006-10-13 19:57:00 I would also make sure you've got the right update, as there's an update for the mobo with no LAN and one for the mobo with LAN onboard.

Get the manual (dlsvr01.asus.com)

And see if it has anything about Ez-flash in it. If it supports it, follow the manual on how to use it.
