Thanks. You need to find out what programs are using the svchost in question. I think there is a net command to get the info but cant remember exactly. I know because I had an issue once before as well and had to find which program was causing the issue and that is the only way. Something about ID's in the task manager also comes to mind. Maybe a google is in order. |

Thanks. Nope wasn't a net command. Quick Google shows the following. Open a cmd window and type in the following and it will tell you what each svchost entry is doing. To find out which dll is used by a service, use the built-in and very useful command: tasklist.exe I uses tasklist.exe /SVC to query the problematic services. Use taskmanager to find out the program-id (Pid) and tasklist.exe provides the belonging services. Also use: tasklist.exe /m (redirect the output to a text file for further investigation.
