491522 2006-10-15 01:41:00 I recently got a Dell Dimension XPS T500 the first time it booted up... but not from the Hard drive. So I configured it to boot first from the hard drive. Now it boots up.. now I can't see anything!! The graphics card is a nVIDIA TNT 2 Binary_bandit (9508)
491523 2006-10-15 02:27:00 How do you know its booted up?
When can't you see anything? Straight away or after it POSTs?

If you are sure it is booting:
Test graphics card.

491524 2006-10-15 05:41:00 It boots up because of the types of HDD noises i hear Binary_bandit (9508)
491525 2006-10-15 09:15:00 Dead graphics card then.
Assuming the monitor is ok....

491526 2006-10-15 11:10:00 a dead graphics car would proabably mean no signal to monitor and so you should see something. does it make any beeping noises when you turn the power on? can you see the post or blank... can you test the monitor on another machine?

if it's under warranty take it back and order a proper pc

491527 2006-10-15 18:31:00 When the screen works... it makes 2 short beeps.. what does this mean? Binary_bandit (9508)
491528 2006-10-16 06:39:00 check you motherboard manual :p i'm not up to date on what two beeps means... so the monitor works sometimes and then it beeps but otherwise nothing?

i'm sure agent24 would know waht those beeps mean, i dont think it's ram...
