491410 2006-10-14 22:22:00 I am in the mist of building a new gaming PC.

After getting everying assembled I booted for the 1st time. All seems good and I enter the bios screen and notice that my HDD is Ok but it did not recognize my CDROM.
So, I cannot load windows unless the CDROM is working.

On the post boot screen it shows: Primary Master - ATAPI CDROM Incompatable.

I have tried 2 diff CDROM that both confirmed work in other systems, 2 differnt cables, and tried both Cable Select and Master jumper settings, and also tried Primary IDE connection as well as secondary connection.

All to no avail.

General Pc Specs:
Asus AR832-MVP Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200
Kingston PC3200 512 x2
Radeon x1600 PCIE
WD 300G 7200RPM SATAII
Thermaltake 600W PS

Any ideas?
