2006-10-15 00:40:00 | There are hundreds of sites out there like this, my favourite is http://www.hackthissite.org | byte (11156) | |
2006-10-15 01:02:00 | I'm stuck on level 9. It says: Password: Z2F6ZWJydWg= add a page extention to that I have tried adding all the website extensions I can think of to that string, with no luck.

2006-10-15 01:58:00 | Next time I create I site I'll be sure to include a trail of clues to crack it :D. I got up to level 9 with the wierd "add an extension" hint as well then decided to forget it. I tried html, htm, php and txt then decided I couldn't be bothered. | TGoddard (7263) | |

2006-10-15 03:36:00 | I also tried shtml, shtm, php, pl, cgi, gif, psd. I even went to the extent of adding an extension to "that", i.e. that.htm, that.html..... Any suggestions from anyone else?

2006-10-15 07:32:00 | hackthissite.org (already mentioned) is much better and much more realistic. There really are sites vulnerable to the techniques used there. The later challenges are pretty tough but I just did some of them and they're really good. All web developers should have to finish at least half a dozen of those before they're allowed to write a single line of code on a serious site  | TGoddard (7263) | |
2006-10-15 09:08:00 | Bit of a misnomer isn't it? Shouldn't it be called, decipher stuff in webpages? I always thought of hacking as far more um, programmy.

2006-10-15 11:12:00 | Any suggestions from anyone else? I'm also stuck on level 9. "That" looks like some kind of encrypted string to me, but nothing immediately jumps to mind. Maybe I'll try running it through some of the PHP encryption functions tomorrow (today!) and see what turns up. Got it. It's base64. base64_decode() will decrypt it.

2006-10-22 07:13:00 | Ok, got to Level 8... got the file I required but dont have a way to open it (Linux) Might pick this up another day Enjoy :p Hello from a new guy and a bit of help, maybe... According to my research Linux users who has access to GIMP can open the file too. I am stuck at level 12 and I just can't find what I'm supposed to be looking for... So any help there would be welcome. What I know about level 12: "3 letters changes everything" - Check, I think. I found "something" where 3 letters have changed from what they have been in the previous levels. Source code meta tags say: "Clue" and "use graphic software" I have been over the "item" which had a 3 letter change but I can't really spot anything that makes sense. :help: :p Thank you in advance and if you need help with previous levels I can post hints for them, just tell me what level you are on.
