492438 2006-10-18 11:18:00 Hi All,

I'm interested in setting up my own server type set up for emails and the like for home, but for a complete newbie I am not too sure on what I should be looking for in server specs, and also in respect to software.

I know there is a lot of freeware/open source stuff out there, but I am a very Microsoft program oriented person, and am wondering if something like Small Business Server is a better (although hugely pricey) option for me?

Appreciate any help or advice on setting this up!

Cheers

Craig. :D

492439 2006-10-19 00:57:00 http://www.dslwebserver.com/ has some great guides on how to set up various webservers on your home pc. They tend to be easily followed!
They reccomend using a program called MailEnable which is free!
