2006-10-18 03:59:00 | Hi Pete,As you may have guessed,I know nothing about PHP.I quite often come across image files that I cannot open & they always mention PHP.Am I well off course. There must another reason I can't open these JPGs.rdee | rdee (1809) | |
2006-10-18 04:44:00 | PHP is a scripting language that can make image files as output. If they're .php files, and you're sure that they should be images, you might need to install a web server and PHP before you can get PHP to make + output images. | sinikk (9925) | |
2006-10-18 06:31:00 | Are you downloading and saving these images? Try removing the .php extension when you save them - the filename shown is just the name of the script that generated the image. Hopefully if you have no extension your browser will append the correct one (.png, .jpg, .gif etc). Where are you getting these images from?

2006-10-18 07:35:00 | HI,I will try & remove the PHP bit.I have studied the meaning more & understand now that I got it all wrong.I have a downloader & when I try to view some gifs jpgs I normally get a batch which wont open & the PHP tag is there. My guess now is that the script has a code to stop me seeing images from pay only sites-fair enough.thankyou rdee | rdee (1809) | |
2006-10-18 23:05:00 | rdee, if you're downloading the images from forums & it saves as image.php or whatever, just rename to image.jpg and it should view fine. | autechre (266) | |
