| 492128 | 2006-10-17 05:36:00 | hi, i have my laptop connected wirelessly in my home. i also have a desktop computer that is basically my "main" computer in the house w/ the cable modem and wireless router. i would like to know how i can gain access to my laptop through my desktop. i could see the laptop in "Workgroup members", but when i try to double click it, it says "network path not found"...is it because its connected wirelessly? ps. i could share files wirelessly w/o problems. |

| 492129 | 2006-10-17 09:36:00 | Basically wireless is normal networking without wires apart from the fact that additional security is needed - so first step would be to check all the normal networking setup details. If as it sounds you are using the laptop to browse the web, then the wireless link is working. | johnd (85) | ||

If you could access the whole hard drive, then it will be easier for hackers to steal your identity. This is why Windows tries to stop you sharing a root drive. |
