492527 2006-10-19 01:07:00 Hi there

Id like to place a Drop shadow? on an image I have so the whole photo stands out, like the Lodge photo on this website - http://www.huntershills.co.nz/

Ive added a new layer from the background, selected Layer / Layer Style / Drop Shadow but nothing seems to work. So I tried Beveling but nothing there either.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks..........John in Mosgiel.

492528 2006-10-19 01:53:00 Have you made the canvas size larger, so that there is space for the drop shadow to happen?

Have you made the new background layer white - so you have a top layer which is the photo, and a background layer which is white, so that the shadow will actually show up. Note that you need to make sure that the top layer is smaller, so that there is room around the photo for the drop shadow to appear.

492532 2006-10-19 22:35:00 you can just right click the layer int he layers palet and go blending options then tick drop shadow and go to the menu and you can adjust its colour and position. Chrisn (9819)
