I am still having problems, and I'm getting very desperate now.

I re-sent smaller files and from my end the sends went OK so I assumed that they had been received. File sizes were 8MB and 14MB. I got no notifications to the contrary.

I found out this morning that they hadn't got to the recipient so I sent again as two separate emails, with the self extracting files renamed to [filename].doc and this time I did get delivery error messages back as follows:

Reporting-MTA: dns;xxxxnj.com
Received-From-MTA: dns;mta03.xtra.co.nz
Arrival-Date: Wed, 18 Oct 2006 15:11:18 -0400

Final-Recipient: rfc822;evanxxxxx@xxxxnj.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.2.3
X-Display-Name: Evan xxxx

I can imagine that the 14MB might have choked the US mailserver, but surely the 8MB wasn't too big?

Would the ISP's virus scanner see through the renaming and identify the contents as an executable file?

I have to sort this out very quickly, or send a CD via fedex, but earlier somebody (Greg I think) suggested FTP. I have zero knowledge of FTP, and from the point of view of my client I can assume that he has no knowledge either so it has to be virtually a point and click solution.

I really need some help here, this is a court situation and a lot hangs on it.

Cheers

492476 2006-10-18 20:50:00 Hi Billy

Do you have a gmail account? You can upload attachments up to 10 MB in size and email them to another gmail account. This will overcome any limits imposed by the receivers ISP. Should be pretty easy for the receipent to then download the attachment. If they do not have a gmail account, they can sign up for one first easily enough.

492477 2006-10-18 20:57:00 5.2.3 normally means "Message is too large; the local quota is exceeded.
Has this person access to another email address you can use as it sounds like their mail box is full or limited in size.
