493767 2006-10-24 23:04:00 Hi there!
I have a PC with Asus A7V133 mobo . Next to the CPU Athlon with a Fan there is, I think it is, Northbridge chip also with a Fan . CPU fan spins, but Northbridge fan don't .

The question is it it is ok, or something is wrong .

Will appreciate an explanation .

But.... your motherboard uses the VIA KT133 chipset, which didnt get all that hot, infact most chipset coolers for that chipset were passive. Are you noticing any recent system instability? The fan may simply be clogged with dust or could be shot. Chipset fans are easy enough to replace, normally theyre just a standard 40mm fan that screws on. I wouldnt worry about it but if you notice any insability it might be a good idea to replace the fan.
