| 493677 | 2006-10-24 10:53:00 | im a student and i need to buy a laptop around christmas and i no it seems pretty early for this but...... right now i have my eyes set on lenovo as i had used one before (well...an IBM one) for quite a while and is quite stable and secure. Just want some advice on this...... Because i have seen a lot of other notebooks like toshiba (great features) and sony (good notebook design) that are pretty well respected. Also bearing in mind that i prob wont use it for mainly games, but i would prob need it for design apps. i would like it to have a fairly good screen (on of those glossy ones). And also when will Windows Vista be preinstalled in laptops? cos i would like to buy one with it installed (prob unlikely but......u neva no..) i would also like a laptop that is quite secure and ..well....not prone to frequent crashes.... and finally around the 2000-3400 price range |

If you want to be an early adopter of any new OS, a laptop is possibly not the best machine to do it with. Bug fixes are more rapidly released on the most widely used systems. You can tell those who were leading the charge, they are the ones with the most arrows in them. :waughh: |
