493951 2006-10-25 21:34:00 hows that, if you do tolls with orcon, you get 10 bux off your internet(and ya dont have to make toll calls or anything, just enable it)

But I think you will find that you have to switch your tolls to orcon.

493952 2006-10-26 01:45:00 Hmmm the pro plan with tolls seems the best deal so far.

that's $40 PRO max up/max down add $20 for 15 GIG = total of $60

Now I'm not with Orcon and never have with Broadband , but to me seems pretty good.

I was with IHUG and I did Like there service, the only problem I didn't like mainly was getting in touch of support desk, as for there plan, Max/max with 20GIG its $80 , however I would like to have it a bit cheaper than that, if IHUG did $70 I probably would take it up... right now I'm with World Exchange and the speeds on everything I use is fantastic but I'm paying $90 so I'm still waiting to see what they will come out with, if it can be a good deal say inbetween orcon - ihug I'll stick with them, however if it's just better speed etc and price remains the same, I would move. Ive been with Xtra, IHUG and now world exchange... all ISP's give me gr8 speeds.... anybody think that IF i did move to Orcon it would be similar good speeds since the others have been good. any thoughts?

my speeds with all 3 have been always over 3.4 up and around 506 down or more

493953 2006-10-26 02:36:00 the orcon deals stink

the "zeroshock" plan thing is just a plan with a 20gb limit.

its worse than telecom. at least theyre unlimited, as long as ur not downloading like a maniac during the peak hours.

493954 2006-10-26 02:42:00 The only thing I'm worried about with this 128k is useing webcam /voice... i have alot of friends who i cam and voice with.... would there much of a difference than been on the 512 up? like with 128k would it be slow and voice cut out etc? anyone who does voice/cam with 128 tell me how it is for you :-)

cheers

However, it will be far too slow for video conferences even with H.246 compression. I'd say you could get away with 256k, but you really need 512k or better if you want clear video feeds. :) maccrazy (6741)

Thanks for your reply Maccrazy, yea i thought 128k might not be enough, audio probably would be good enough but running both audio and cam together would be slow. hmmm

493958 2006-10-26 05:17:00 Getting worse I feel . . . speeds better and better , plans what they offer for it, not the best . . . . prices still to high on the 512 up others seem a little better . . . my opinion .
