| 493010 | 2006-10-22 21:18:00 | www.localhost.me.uk That site lists the cabinet file contents for Win98, which are quite different to Win98SE. Just repeating and emphasising once again Driver14.cab and Win_56.cab as well as others are empty in Win98SE, as confirmed by the site quoted by Valerie.. So there is no point in trying to extract files from empty cabinets :) A cabfile viewer is built into win98se as it is also in XP, unlike win95 which needed one added from Power Toys. So it is easy enough to see which cabinets have files and which don't. I only have an upgrade 98SE CD, but Valeries site confirms in fact that the full 98SE is basicly identicle to the upgrade CD. Edit:{I mean I dont have a full 98SE CD, only an upgrade, I do have a Win98 first edition CD too, so the differences are easily seen} |
