| 494580 | 2006-10-26 22:27:00 | I have recently had boot up problems that I initially thought were software only to find it was a hardware problem. The optical mouse was the cause of all of them. Even though I tossed the old ones away, I now find that every 12 months I get mouse related problems. I would suggest to anyone that has boot up problems to first look at changing their optical mouse before looking for problems else where. Hope this is a help to someone. :) | qwerty (8480) | ||
| 494581 | 2006-10-27 00:43:00 | There's no need to change your mouse to check this, just unplug it then boot. After booting, plug in the mouse and away you go. It would be helpful to know what brand and model of mouse is allegedly slowing boot times. I use IR mice and have no problems at all, so it could very well be a configuration problem confined to a very small number of computers i.e.<2. Cheers Billy 8-{) :confused: |
