494465 2006-10-26 07:16:00 Hi I started having keyboard trouble a while back on my Toshiba Tecra8000 laptop. It was built by a computer genius, so it works (ed) great for a loooong time, but may not actually contain certified Tecra8000 parts.. Just fyi.
Anyways I had installed MySQL and was playin around with some of the commands and all of a sudden when I'd press almost any key, wierd things would happen. I can press D once and nothing happens. The second time I press it, 3=ed comes up. And the third time I press it, the Find box comes up. Backspace gives me about 15-20 spaces, then "1QA\" and then pulls up the common Right-Click menu. They almost all do something funny like that. The numbers work okay 'most' of the time...I can describe more irregularities if need be, but I hope someone can help me. I plugged in a separate and regular keyboard and that eliminates the bulk of the problem. But for instance, I'm designing a web site and just out of the blue, I'm trying to type local.html as the file name to save as and every time I press the "L" key, it takes me to the XP user choice screen. It doesn't close out my programs, just makes me click my Account name to reenter my xp account on the computer..And that's with the Keyboard I recently attached...so HELP PLEASE lol.

Thanks
