| 494321 | 2006-10-25 23:03:00 | Hi, I have just completed the automatic installation of Internet Explorer replacing my successful run of the Beta 3 install I did several weeks ago. Everything works O K except when I try to click on the postcardchess url in the e mail- it appears a slightly lighter shade of blue to my usual set up--(could it be in shadow? ) but it will not open with a double left click. This from sevaral chess apponents and up to now I have no troubles whatsover. I can only assume the new browser has a tick in the wrong place precluding opening a reply.i e security ? Can somebody help please ( in 4 letter words at that  effie c |

| 494322 | 2006-10-26 04:41:00 | This can occur when another program has registered itself as the default application for browsing the web. Or it has forgotten IE is the default browser. Re-register Internet Explorer as the default browser. 1. Start Internet Explorer 2. Select the Tools->Internet Options menu 3. Select the [Programs] tab 4. Look for a checkbox labelled "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" 5. If this checkbox is not ticked, then this is the cause of the problem, so tick it! 6. Click OK 7. Close Internet Explorer 8. Re-open Internet Explorer 9. Close Outlook Express 10. Re-open Outlook Express See if that works. |
