2006-10-27 20:01:00 | Xtra have shaped P2P so don't excpect anything better. They state that they will shape p2p during peak times, its outside peak times. my mate can easily get 100kBps on p2p even during peak times but I cant get over 30, something is wrong here.

2006-10-27 20:23:00 | My heart bleeds for all you frustrated torrent & p2p types. Nothing personal, and I know it is a broad generalisation, but for years as a group you have been able to impact other users' internet speeds through excessive downloading, and now that Telecom has done something practical about it and levelled the playing field you don't like it. Well, that's how the rest of us used to feel when our broadband connections crawled. I am now getting up to 7.25Mbps download and 468kbps up load. I have always had a full speed connection but in recent years traffic levels have kept my speeds well below maximum. I need my line for business, and my productivity is going to go up from these changes, so I'm as happy as can be right now. No doubt there will be some improvements to the application of the "fair use" policy as traffic patterns settle down, but my bet is that the screws will soon be tightened if user abuse shows up again. Cheers Billy 8-{) :D

Now if i call xtra technical support and explain, they will come up with so many studpid reasons as to why this is happening . (firewall etc . . . ) . How should we solve this by our selfs muzzle?? . you have my full support . . lol/ |

2006-10-27 22:51:00 | DATA RATE minus 15% = actual download speed* Ihug, data rate 6656kbps, theoretical max 5657kbps. Speed test: 4213kbps down 132 up Whats the deal with ihugs plans now? No offpeak.. and less data for your money. Argh Yep every time they increase the speed they decrease the limit. It went from 40+40 to 20+40 and now just plain 20 + pay after

2006-10-27 23:00:00 | It won't change unless you change your plan. With Ihug, if you want the $10 discount you now have to have your tolls and phone line with them for the new plans. It is no longer good enough just to have your tolls. Where did you get that? I just changed my plan and did not bother with the homeline. Just the tolls still and the e-mail came back saying my payment is $80 per month just as it should be.
