| 494141 | 2006-10-27 04:18:00 | I just rung LESS xtra Speed and they said that their is an issue with the speeds that we should be getting and they hope to have it fixed tonight by midnight. | Hitech (9024) | ||
| 494142 | 2006-10-27 04:34:00 | People who couldn't get the suggested 3.5mbps or close to would not see any speed up at all imo. I have always connected at 1.5mbps (or lower) and don't expect anything faster due to 'poor lines'. |

| 494143 | 2006-10-27 07:25:00 | My speeds are slightly faster - between 3.8 and 4.2Mbps but I cant seem to get a torrent to go at more than 30kBps which is pretty frustrating. And I'm talking about non peak times here. Somehow I have still used close to 4GB, which is funny because I have not managed to download anything yet (other than several unicycle videos) |

| 494145 | 2006-10-27 08:43:00 | The nzdsl.co.nz speed test reports a download speed of 2097kbps for me, not much of an improvement of the 2MBits I had before the 'unleashing', yet my modem says my connection rate is 3776Kbps, Interleaved. Is this an effect of interleaving, or has my broadband just not been unleashed yet? | Chimu (11343) | ||

Im lead to believe that maybe we're being traffic shaped despite it being offpeak (not right now, but it will still be slow in 3 hours) |

That could be a chunk of traffic at times.:waughh: |

| 494148 | 2006-10-27 11:00:00 | i set my upload rate to 6KB/s the usage page says DLed 4gig and upload 230 meg theres no point in havn high speed just for surfing it never uses all that bandwidth even you tube on 3.5 was plenty and never had pauses for it to buffer more sure faster net but all that speed is unuseable i cant even play online games on international servers anymore and all the games i play have no NZ servers! Remember the duel dialup idea? i think that mite be a better option for P2P users xtra have turned bad broadband into utter crap! |

| 494149 | 2006-10-27 11:26:00 | Xtra have shaped P2P so don't excpect anything better. | trinsic (6945) | ||
| 494150 | 2006-10-27 13:50:00 | so, I know I'm going ot sound like the loser in the group here, but Xtra offered me AdSL as a broadband connection, for $40 a month qith a 1GB cap before it hits dial-up speed. I've got a norrible feeling now that I look at these speeds that I'm geting ripped off like the pants from a member of ManPower Australia... What can I do to get real roadband?- |
