| 494102 | 2006-10-26 03:35:00 | I changed mine this morning and it's already on Go Large. Check your broadband usage to check. It may very well have changed. | Fishy (10540) | ||
| 494103 | 2006-10-26 03:51:00 | Personally after last year's 3.5MBit "upgrade" I have no expectations whatsoever, the more it increases the better but I am most certainly not expecting 7.6MBit. At least up until last week I was connected at around 3800Kbps now I seem to be connecting at 2112Kbps - not that it makes that much difference as I don't get much more than 0.5MBit in the evenings anyway, but all the same it's a bit of a worry considering we are supposed to be being unleashed, not tied up. :p Does anyone know what the status is with Natcom's WiMax trials? I see Slingshot has some very appealing WiMax (www.slingshot.co.nz) plans for Whangarei. Hopefully there will be a bit of WiMax competition next year. |

| 494105 | 2006-10-26 04:33:00 | DATA RATE minus 15% = actual download speed* Ihug, data rate 6656kbps, theoretical max 5657kbps. Speed test: 4213kbps down 132 up Whats the deal with ihugs plans now? No offpeak.. and less data for your money. Argh |

Xtra plans still look to be the best as their offer unlimited for $50 |

| 494107 | 2006-10-26 04:39:00 | I filled in the form to make the change at about 1pm today and got the auto response that it would take 2 days. Just checked to see how much of my cap was left so i could finish it off and lo and behold I have already been switched  Doesnt make any diff to my speed because of my location but its still fast enough to do serious damage to any cap so I think I'm a happy camper at present  Of course time will tell. |

Xtra plans still look to be the best as their offer unlimited for $50 Existing customers on Ihug will keep their current plans, unless they want to downgrade to a worse plan for the same price *sigh* While talking to the helpdesk guy, i asked whether they will have any new plans that will offer better data. "I dont know" Well thats that. Im still itching for better data / speed.. I can only hope that happens soon next year. |
