| 494311 | 2006-11-11 19:02:00 | Go Large, is showing a distinct improvement, but not yet good enough. It would seem Telecom has been working to improve Go Large. For the last three days, the Xtra Jetstreamgames meter has been giving me my 'maximum' speed of 3574kbps, more or less consistently through out the day and evening (though I wait to see if it does tonight). International downloading has been up to the speed I was getting on the Adventure plan, but only during early morning, I have been testing at 7.30am, during the day and evening it slows down. (More than Adventure did) So at 7.30am on Speakeasy, Seattle gives around 1600/1700kbps and New York gives around 1100kbps. Downloading test files from US sites I usually visit come down at around 170 kBytes/sec. These speeds drop off though, Speakeasy drops down to around 300/500kbps during the day, and test file speed via http drops to around 40 kBytes/sec. Still, it is a big improvement over what Go Large had been doing, but not enough yet to stop me walking though. |

I would have thought that was a very non peak time therefore it would be showing a "distinct improvement" Yea right  |

| 494316 | 2006-11-11 22:36:00 | The international download speeds do drop very rapidly during the morning, try again much earlier. I test at 7.30am and then again around 10am after getting back from walking the dogs. By 10am, Seattle will have dropped to around 1000kbps, and New York to around 400kbps. It then stays at around these speeds. I test again at 8.30pm, and the speed meters are about the same. Http file download from US is about 30_50kBytes/sec.....a big improvement on the 5 -20 kBytes/sec I had been getting. After going onto Go Large, I had been getting the Speakeasy Seattle and New York tests dropping down to around 30kbps, so it is very much better now. |

| 494317 | 2006-11-11 23:17:00 | I received an e-mail a while ago from Slingshot saying that my data cap will be increased from 3gb to 25gb automatically when our next billing period flicks round for the same price :) We could also of decided to go a bit faster at 2mbs with 1gb but I'm gonna stay at 254kbps for 25gb. ~Matt |
