| 494241 | 2006-11-07 02:08:00 | You might think again since the announcement today of telecom restricting the go large plan at peaktimes to 200 mb an hour and 2 cents for every megabyte after that. | Hitech (9024) | ||

So i went to the following website http://www.testmy.net and was surprised that there was a siginificant change in the speed. it was actually the best speed in NZ on the day. |

| 494248 | 2006-11-08 02:36:00 | I'm not with telecom but my ihug BBand speed is very very erratic - at peak times it is sometimes little faster than average dial-up. Is ihug having Telecom-related problems? Cheers |

| 494250 | 2006-11-08 06:51:00 | Our download speed is about the same, sometimes a little slower, no significant increase at any time. Our upload speed however has certainly gone down to 128 or thereabouts. Very annoying, since we got this polite letter from Xtra offering us a new account with greater limit, greater download speed, but (specified but not mentioned in the text) lower upload speed. Since we wanted to use Skype, we didn't take the offer up - and guess what, a month later we were told we were going onto the new plan anyway since the old one was being withdrawn. |
