495296 2006-10-30 18:18:00 Apologies if I've missed any explanation on this, via my search.
I downloaded and installed IE7 last night, (the download was extremely slow)
all went well until I tried to access the xtra homepage, I kept getting the pop-up box, advising explorer had a fault. The same thing happened when I tried the windows live messenger site. There was no apparent problem when I loaded other sites.
I was speaking with a friend in the UK, who said she had heard there were many sites that wouldn't load with IE7 and she was holding off installing it.
Am now back to using IE6 !!:badpc:

495297 2006-10-30 18:34:00 I dont think Xtramsn is the prob, I just tried IE and went to this site.

I'm there now.

And its fine. The only site that goes bung on me is a canasta site, the options when u select them on the left hand side stay on the left. Instead of going to the middle. This is a site prob. They need to fix it so it works with IE7.

Did u check for spyware etc BEFORE u installed IE7?? This may alos cause it to crash on most sites.

495299 2006-10-31 10:54:00 Thanks for replies Speedy and pcuser.

Husband had no problems with his IE7 either. I had checked with spyware prior to downloading and am still not sure if the fact that my xtra broadband speed was running so slowly at the time, may have caused a glitch.
I am now using Firefox and that is going well. Correct me if I am wrong, but IE is still needed for me to access my windows live messenger.

Cheers

Aside from the obvious, theres "Seen the light", "Free at last", "Vista secure - yeah, right", or "Was pcuserwinxp". Or ":)"

And before Laura says it, shouldn't you have asked "To whom?"
