495057	2006-10-27 21:56:00	On a website Ive created, it allows users fill in a text box to make suggestions on running the club. Ive created a Text Box area, to allow this to happen. The problem comes when I open the file containing their suggestions. There is no text wrapping, so when I paste it into the website, the box width (which is set to 740 pixels) expands to way off the screen. So, I pasted the info into Word, hoping it would wrap the text when I pasted it back to the website, no luck. Any ideas how to fix this.... Thanks John in Mosgiel.	John W (523)

495059	2006-10-28 01:06:00	Most web page programs have ways of controlling the width and depth of text boxes. Try right clicking on the box and see if it gives you the answer to your problem. You should be able to specify an exact width. Try the help menu and search for "fixed width" or similar. If you are using tables you should have a table menu where it will be set-up. 495062	2006-10-30 08:39:00	What are you using to edit the website? Whatever you're using to modify the website is probably causing the problems with line breaks by wrapping the text in <pre>...</pre> tags. Text inside these tags is supposed to preserve line breaks. The use of these tags is also considered poor practice. I always use a plain text editor and write the website code myself. I don't expect you to go this far but you at least need a decent modern tool. <pre> tags are the devil I tells you! P.S. If you have the time to learn PHP or can locate a local geek you could use a database for comments and just approve comments with a click from an email. You also need to escape HTML from the comments however you do it.	TGoddard (7263)
