| 495036 | 2006-10-27 10:26:00 | Occasionally, I'm using my pc and the screen sort of flicks on/off . Very brief, and it's not a general power thing on my house, but looks the same . Seein' as how the monitor is old with no probs and the pc is new (2nd hand) I'm guessing graphics card related . Or mobo i suppose . That's what I'd like to know - could be caused by any number of things but I'd like experienced types to mebbe give me some opinions . What is causing this? does it mean something serious, or can I just live with it? Frequency . . umm say 3 times a day when using for mebbe 3 hrs total over the whole day . Sorry, it's very infrequent & I can't see a pattern . Not Often is the short answer, but daily . When it happens it does repeat within say 1/2 hr usually, but then sometimes nothing for 1-2 hrs of use . Hardware . . asus k8n motherboard, nvidia 6600 graphics, philips CRT monitor |
