494925 2006-10-26 20:54:00 Good morning. I ran CCleaner this morning, was offered an update, and accepted. I then ran it without checking all the settings, and lost the contents of Start-Programs. (O mea miserum, mea culpa and all that sort of stuff!). After momentarily pannicking I check Programs in C Drive (and oh the relief they were there). I next did a store point and everything is back to normal (Must remember 'Think, think, don't rush into things'!). :o

My question is - what do I tick/untick in CCleaner to make sure I don't lose the contents of Start-Programs again.

As always, TIA
R.M.

494926 2006-10-26 21:04:00 Most probably one of the options under Advanced (under the windows tab).

Maybe the 2nd one here.

None of the options here are ticked by default. The only options I've ticked here is old prefetch files. And custom files and folders.

494927 2006-10-26 21:11:00 I haven't got Custom files & folders ticked - do you think that might be it? R.M. (561)
494928 2006-10-26 21:17:00 No the 2nd one , Menu order cache.

The custom one is what I have ticked. If any are ticked on yours under advanced untick all of them. (under advanced).

Ta again.
