| 495486 | 2006-10-31 05:45:00 | Having a bit of a look around the router settings, and I noticed a diagnostics tab. I ran the diagnostic, and it returned with two fails: Test ATM OAM F4 segment ping Test ATM OAM F4 end-to-end ping The troubleshooter recommends resetting the router to its default settings, which I've done but it still shows up as a fail. The notes say this: "FAIL: Indicates that the ADSL router may not be able to communicate with the ADSL provider network. This test may have an effect on your Internet connectivity. Occasionally the ADSL provider network may intentionally block this traffic. Therefore if this test fails but you are still able to access the Internet, there is no need to troubleshoot this issue. " What is the test testing? Is the fail caused by traffic shaping? I'm still able to connect to the internet, though torrents are horrendously slow. Is this something I should try and fix? Cheers |
