495322 2006-11-01 17:48:00 I use a free one called AnyPassword (Google it). There is a pro version, but the free one does me fine...

Be ye careful of Anypassword.com...there are beasties in it!

When we tested this site we found links to freetrialsoft.com, which we found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other unwanted programs.

495323 2006-11-01 21:04:00 Firefox with a master password will encrypt all your passwords. I store site passwords in Firefox and other passwords in the KDE Wallet (not available for Windows). TGoddard (7263)

I store site passwords in Firefox and other passwords in the KDE Wallet (not available for Windows). As does Opera, which is all very well for Web page passwords, but thi ssolution doesn't work too well for applications/networks that require passwords.... johcar (6283)
495325 2006-11-04 21:49:00 Thanks folk.
I decided to try Password Safe and within a few minutes of trying it was happier with it than I ever was with Password Agent. So it looks as though I have found what I wanted. I was rather intrigued by the comments about Opera and Firefox. I admit to using IE and wonder why there are so many alternatives - I haven't so far discovered any problems with my emails etc.

495327 2006-11-08 21:23:00 Another thing that I forgot to mention about KeePass is that it is easily transportable. It doesn't require a Windows Installation to use it. This means you can have it on a USB drive and just use it anywhere. AvonBill (11358)

Same deal with AnyPassword - despite Surfer Joe's misgivings
