| 496523 | 2006-11-05 03:49:00 | Can these different drive types co-exist on the same machine? I want to upgrade my master drive to a SATA drive and retain my slave PATA drive. Is this possible and if so, what do I have to do, apart from getting a new controller card, to allow these two technologies to co-exist? |

| 496524 | 2006-11-05 04:11:00 | Yup it does if your motherboard also got SATA connectors. Mine does so I have got the XP running from a SATA drive and got the normal IDE drive for storage. Hope this helps! |
