| 496214 | 2006-11-03 15:08:00 | Hi there guys. Quick question: Somehow, my zip and rar file icons (and the programs associated with them) have been changed. I don't know how - too many people use this computer. Zip files are now "opened" by Internet Explorer, rar files are opened by Dr. Watson. :groan: Could this be a virus? what can I do to fix it? I'm running 98 - essentially stuck with it. Thanx. |

Now, select the File Types tab . select . zip ( . rar)from the File Types list box and click Edit . Browse to the location of Winzip (or WInrar) an choose the . exe . Then OK . Repeat for whatever others are using the wrong program . |
