| 496316 | 2006-11-07 06:53:00 | I have only just re-plugged all the wires and stuff that go into 'the box thingy' after picking up the PC from "The Computer Man" Hastings. He re-enabled the LAN in CMOS - and everything is 'Hunky Dory' again. Surfer Joe, you were on the right track to fix the problem, but I didn't have the confidence or 'know how' to open the case as you suggested, - I could have saved myself $70 if I had! In future I will be most careful when disabling anything, as this event caused endless worry and concern - however, I did learn all sorts of things about our computer that I wouldn't have known any other way.
