497278 2006-11-07 08:54:00 my dsl router is really slow
when trying to get to the admin on 10.1.1.1
the router takes 3 minutes just to ask for the password and sometimes longer to get to any specific screen for settings
I have tryed to factory reset it via a 10 second button, but i doesnt seem to have reset as the next time i log in , it still has my user id and password and is just as slow at getting there....
Even the broadband connection is like dial up , is this a router problem a firewall problem or what.
Ps no i have not exceeded my download limit.

497279 2006-11-07 09:02:00 Very strange. Wonder why it won't reset?? What are the ping times to it? Should be 1ms or so. linw (53)

497281 2006-11-07 10:15:00 The button only restarts the modem. Reset to factory settings from the menu. TGoddard (7263)
497282 2006-11-08 01:15:00 Tryed both methods of reset TG, no go. skinnerjack1 (11413)
497283 2006-11-08 06:46:00 The button only restarts the modem. Reset to factory settings from the menu.
My D-Link 504G resets to factory defaults if I press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.

Maybe we should find out what brand and model of dsl modem skinnerjack is using before leaping to conclusions. Seems to me that would be the obvious place to start.

Cheers

497286 2006-11-08 10:22:00 Router takes so long to open up the status page?
WARNING for me if I were you because my other router is dead already caused by this problem, too bad it was around 3yrs old and no more warranty.
I don't know about yours.
