| 497096 | 2006-11-07 04:50:00 | I am using a Dell Pentium 4 which has a CD/DVD drive that the 'Device Manager' identifies as, 'HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC 4481B'. I am trying to find out what type of disk I should buy to burn DVD's but cannot work it out from this identification. Can someone help me by simply telling me if I should buy a DVD - R or a DVD + R? Many thanks, redape I believe you can buy either one. If I remember correctly, it used to matter which kind you buy depending, but anymore you can use either kind. |

| 497101 | 2006-11-07 05:30:00 | It appears to be an LG manufactured CD-RW and DVD ROM drive, so I agree with the above, it's not a DVD burner at all, only a DVD reader. So it will not matter what type of DVD media you buy, none will work. |
