496622 2006-11-05 16:58:00 I am having trouble with very, very slow downloads from one specific site.
Download starts at about 15 kbs and then drops to about 1 kbs.
Can anyone offer an explanation and a suggestion for speeding it up. This is an on going condition. Any day or time it is the same.

www.mcdu.com

It's a genuine site. No virus or anything.

496623 2006-11-05 18:29:00 Have you tried the site outside peak times, i.e. 12 midnight to 6am? pcuser42 (130)
496624 2006-11-05 19:21:00 Strange, I have my broadband with Telstra and am on full speed plan. I downloaded that exact file just now at an average rate of 180kb/s . (internet explorer)

Have you tried an alternative browser? Like Opera or Firefox. I definitely do not know why one specific site would be slow. Who is your internet provider maybe others on the forum who have the same provider as you can test the download.

496626 2006-11-05 21:31:00 I've been useing that site for about a year, and have tried it at ALL times. Same result every time.
I am with IHug on 3.5

The site is in Paris, France, not that, that should make any difference.
