497122 2006-11-07 21:22:00 Try Opera 9.1 RC1 (my.opera.com)

See if it does the same thing.

If you've uninstalled Opera 9, delete its folder in program files first, then install 9.1.

Or you could post a Hijackthis log (www.merijn.org)

We'll see if anything else may causing it, since it looks like it happens with any browser, not just 1.

497123 2006-11-07 22:04:00 please avoid useing opera 9.1 rc1, it has some major bugs in it. use 9.02 instead. tweak'e (69)

497125 2006-11-08 00:11:00 Well I wld get SP2 for starters. Since support for SP1 is no longer around.

And install a firewall.

The log looks fine. But u can tick these and tick fixed checked.

I just avoided SP2 since the beginning since everything was working fine and I had heard bad things about it. I've been out of the loop for a while though so I'm not aware of improvements or anything.

497127 2006-11-08 00:26:00 Well up to you. Some people did have probs which was usually coz they had spyware and didnt remove it before they installed SP2.

Thats what usually caused the constant rebooting. Or they had a Prescott CPU, and didnt install a fix for some of them, before SP2.

I would still get a decent firewall, besides XP's.

Well, u wont know the improvements / fixes SP2 has if it isnt installed.

Thanks for trying, but I've heard better attempts at trying to make fun of someone from 15-year-olds on myspace forums.

Anyway, thanks for all of the credible and helpful input from the non-ignorant members of the forum. Much appreciated.

497131 2006-11-08 03:04:00 So, I take it SP2 was ok after all of that?

If you've installed SP2, are things any better?
