1399943 2015-05-03 06:26:00 If you do, did the latest update work?

Because here (and I see online) some people couldnt get the update to install successfully.

After having spent the last 3 days trying (nearly everything, inc using online, a flash drive and ethernet, to update this 360 E all 3 failed).

After chatting to MS. They have decided to repair / replace it. Since (according to them) its still under warranty.

It's just strange that the same update worked with a flash drive on the old Xbox (which I'll have to use for now). Since I cant update the 360 E. And you HAVE to get the update to get online again.

I told MS it must be a bug. Or something in the latest update that affects Xbox 360 E's. Because it updated the old Xbox in less than 30 secs.

They said (the 1st time), it was a server prob, then it maybe a hardware fault (funny that it was fine) until this bloody update turned up lol

1399944 2015-05-04 09:51:00 Well received the papers from UPS earlier today. The Xbox is on its way to Australia tomorrow and will probably be replaced at their expense.

So will have to stick with the old Xbox until I get the replacement

1399947 2015-05-15 03:10:00 Well in the end MS did a US $300 replacement invoice for it.

I sent it back last Tue, arrived there Thur last week. Replacement was sent from NSW, Wed this week, and may arrive today or Monday afternoon / evening

I have a feeling it had something to do with the 4GB internal memory on it. It may have been faulty. Altho, previous updates were fine. It was the latest update, that kept bringing up errors. But the older Xbox updated no probs at all

Oh well, at least it was free. And lucky it decided to fail / die now (well, it didn't die completely, you could turn it on but since you couldn't update it, you couldnt play online with it).

The warranty runs out in Sept this year ( 2 yrs from when I purchased it)
